DOG GROOMING
Every dog is an individual therefore every dog has different requirements. The service I provide is based on your preferences and your pets lifestyle and nature.
Puppy Pamper
It is important that your puppy gets used to grooming from an early age. I offer a puppy intro to help puppies get used to being groomed professionally. Your new puppy will experience the different sounds and smells which will help with the 'grown up' grooming appointments your puppy will need. Puppy intros also include lots of cuddles and play time.
This may also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have regarding grooming your puppy.

Mini Pamper
Your dog will be brushed and combed to remove any tangles, minor matting and the majority of any dead coat. Your dog will then be bathed in the dog hydrobath, with an appropriate shampoo according the coat type, and condition of the coat and skin. Conditioner may be used if needed. Your dog will then be dried using a 'combi dryer' which allows the coat to be dried and also helps remove more dead coat. This service also includes nail trimming and ear cleaning.
Full Pamper
If your dogs coat requires clipping I advice your dog should be clipped every 6-8 weeks (with the owner brushing regularly in between). This is the usual time frame but some owners prefer to have their dogs groomed earlier to ensure that their dogs are kept tidy. And not all dogs coats grow at the same rate. This also includes nail trimming and ear cleaning.
Handstripping
Handstripping is a technique mainly used on dogs that are wirehaired such as; Jack Russells, Border Terriers, Fox Terriers, and Schnauzers. But other breeds do also have a handstrip coat these include Cocker Spaniels, Springer Spaniels, and Setters. Handstripping maintains a proper breed coat, while clipping can soften the coat and the coat can grow thicker. The coat can also lose its natural colour if clipped. This also includes nail trimming and ear cleaning. * Due to the technique used for handstripping, a bath may not be required.
Mini Treatment - nail trim, ear clean, face tidy, feet tidy
Nail trimming is an important part of your dogs grooming routine to ensure that your pet is comfortable walking. Overgrown nails can grow at peculiar angles resulting in your dog adjusting its foot placing and therefore putting pressure on other parts of your dogs foot and leg. Severe overgrown nails can also grow into your dogs foot pads causing severe pain. **Nail Trimming is carried out as part of a regular groom. Some nails do need more regular trimming so I do offer nail trimming without a full groom.
Ear cleaning is required for every breed of dog. Some breeds of dog, including poodles, bichons, some terriers, shih tzus require the hair to be removed from inside the ear to help allow airflow. Cleaning a dogs ears on a regular basis ensures any changes can be spotted and any treatments needed can be done promptly. **Ear cleaning is carried out as part of a regular groom. However, I also offer ear cleaning without a full groom.
Face and feet tidies are sometimes required inbetween full pampers. Trimming the hair around the face with help keep the dogs eyes clean. Trimming the hair from between the pads on the feet will ensure that no mats or debris builds up in the hair and causes discomfort when the dog walks.
